Congratulations for all your wonderful work this month. It's been my pleasure to work with you all.
I know this is a little later than usual and I'm aware you haven't received your feedback from last month's task. My aim was to give you feedback in your classes as a different experience, however in the moment, I felt it more important to carry on with what we were doing in class.
So...you feedback will be along very soon : )
This month's focus was Accent and Voice with myself and the wonderful Adam.
We'll certainly be getting Adam back to teach you all again, i observed his class online and to see how you were all doing...it was fantastic!
Your home task for this month will require you to choose one of the two options below...
OPTION A
Please self tape of a short speech or monologue speaking in another accent that isn't your own. You can choose American if you feel you need extra practice on this, or you can choose any other accent you'd like to give a go.
The piece should be no longer than 1 minute. Please film in landscape mode in your usual standard frame (from waist to above your head).
You can choose to speak this to the camera or look slightly off to the side -- whatever suits your piece.
OPTION B
Please film a verse and chorus of any song of your choice. Singing is a way to take what you wish to express with your voice to the next level. So if you choose this option, I would like to see how you use your voice and your connection to the piece to create a special and natural performance.
Please film in landscape mode in your usual standard frame (from waist to above your head).
You can choose to sing to the camera or look slightly off to the side -- whatever suits your choice of song.
As our lessons are later this month because of Easter, your deadline for tapes is Friday 14th April at 3.00pm. Please upload to the link below. I often have very last minute emails explaining about technical issues, therefore I would try and upload with more than 30 minutes before the closing of the link. -- Just to note, this isn't me being mean : ) ...I'm offering you the opportunity to experience a real casting process and often, those casting departments don't have time to extend or reopen links. So use this as a great opportunity to practice organising yourself students!
