Welcome to April everyone!
A little delayed I admit (We're only human)... with Easter, everything was pushed back slightly. How are you all doing?
We've had some exciting workshops recently and I've seen some great work from you all. It was wonderful and really beneficial to have Nisha here in the North East with us. She really enjoyed the workshop and we will keep an eye on the release of her upcoming film 'Last Swim'. Maybe a trip to London later in the year could be on the cards?
As some of you will have experienced me in the room, I took my first steps into the casting world and have been appointed Casting Director of the upcoming short film 'Homescars'. Written and directed by CJ Thom (Which is Connor who some of you have met in our previous classes). Some really big auditions for some in the mix too... remember to enjoy these experiences. You can't control the outcome. Or when these auditions show up. The most important thing is you enjoy it and do a FAB job of your tape. Believe me, you may not be right for a certain role, but you will be remembered for something in the future. Trust your timing and your own path...Keep the faith!
So we have our classes coming up for this month...(tomorrow if your first!)
You will be working with the wonderful Phoebe Taiano for tomorrows class, she will be doing an in-depth 'Accent & Voice' class to really brush up your skills. I can't reiterate enough how important it is to really work on your American accent. So this will be a great opportunity to do just that.
